Datta Retreat Center in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania is a unique spritual Center set in a serene forest approximately 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. It is named for Dattatreya, whose path embraces all spritual paths and is the source of all spritual traditions.

This unique spiritual Center was established in 1986 by Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji of Mysore, India. That year Sri Swamiji visited the site and discovered three powerful rocks on the land rocks he has seen earlier in a vision. The main rock is now located within the Universal Datta Sanctuary.

Sri Swamiji said, “The rock is like a powerful Crystal. I don’t call it a rock. Now it is a powerful soul. There is a good vibration here. Come and touch it! If your heart, mind and soul’s power make a connection with the rock’s power, then the healing power is coming.” Sri Swamiji stated: “The Center is not a religion. It is not Hindu, Christian or Buddhist. It is a nature center, a healing center ...a natural healing center.” People of all religious faiths come to withdraw from their outer lives into the essence of themselves, nature and the common sacredness of being.
