Introduction
It has been a unique phenomenon in the history of the world that India has been the motherland for a galaxy of spiritual men and great souls. These great men have consecrated the soil of our sacred motherland in particular and the whole world in general by spreading the ideas and ideals of supreme spiritual knowledge and proclaiming the eternal truth, 'Verily all this is Purusha' (Purusha Evedagam Sarvam). It is significant to note that Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji is moving about this green earth only to re-demonstrate that the world is God.
This booklet is the outcome of fortuitous circumstances on the occasion of Sharannavarathri of 1987 when Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji held a maha meru in His hand, which was salvaged in the Andes Mountains in Brazil. Sri Swamiji explained with great enthusiasm the significance of mahameru (prastara). This particular mahameru contained Padaras (mercury) in it, which has formed over hundreds of years in the evolutionary process of rocks. Sri Swamiji elucidated the significance of this maha meru, which is naturally formed and quipped, "It has reached its home". The stony outer covering and mercury in it, has attracted a number of researchers in the field of Knowledge. The compiler witnessed Swamiji explaining the luminous aspects of this maha meru to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Ramakrishna Hegde who visited the Ashrama during Sharannavarathri.
The nine lectures delivered by Swamiji on the occasion of Ganapati, one on each day, are compiled and published in this book.
The greatness of any man of realization does not depend upon external authority or extraneous authentication but rests upon the cosmic effulgence emerging from God realization. This approach to greatness through perfection eludes logical analysis. Life itself is an affirmation of the Divine in the human. Hence, the unfoldment of life is the unfoldment of divine luminosity and the converse is also true. With the affirmation of the Divine, the human encasement becomes the receptacle of all divine powers. In this sense, the Vedas affirm that the cosmos is within oneself. With the defect of ego erased, with the mind reposed in equanimity, as Yogi shines as the living embodiment of existence, knowledge and bliss (Sachchidananda), He sets an example by His life that all mortals can also live in the experience of this truth.
We have much pleasure in bringing out this booklet which expounds the significance of Sri chakra (mahameru), Sri Chakrarchana in truth is the attainment of the sacrifice within a person of cosmic character who has known his own self, the great reality and the power.
Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji is a living exponent of sri vidya. This booklet gives the right perspective of Sri Chakra and its salient features too. On the sacred occasion of Sharannavarathri in this year (1987), this booklet of knowledge is brought out to be within your reach. This noble task is rendered possible by the sheer grace of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji. Keeping Sri Swamiji in view, the mystery of TantraSadhana is dealt with here. Sri Swamiji, an apostle of true spiritual knowledge and a Siddha of highest order, is a true spiritual ambassador of Bharath. In addition, Sri Swamiji is imparting correct knowledge of Yoga in general and Kriya Yoga in particular to innumerable seekers of God. His Siddhis are the natural results of His total establishment in the Supreme Reality. His unique attainments and global tours undertaken for Lokasamgarha are in keeping with our great heritage of disseminating knowledge. The glory and grandeur of Navavarana pujas, which take place in the Ashrama in Navarathri and the perennial values that support such activities, must be seen and experienced to be believed. The compiler is too feeble to take cognizance of the light and the description of metaphysical austerities that Swamiji is adept in and undertakes for the benefit of seekers. Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda is a luminous and rare living example of Tantra Sadhana. He is illuminating the minds of many seekers by sheer spiritual excellence.
The Avadhoota has the ever-living experience of the power of truth, which is His nature. He sets many examples by His life that all mortals can also live in the experience of the power of truth. For man's nature is transformed to a pattern of excellence because His being is pervaded by the power of truth. Truth expresses blessedness as well as beauty.
