About Dr.Satyam Upadrashta
Dr.Satyam Upadrashta hails from a Vedic family. He was on the board of directors of the First International Vedic Conference that took place in New York. He is a frequently invited speaker on topics of spiritual interest. He gave regular lectures on Bhagavad-Gita to the Indian community in Evansville, Indiana, from 1993 to 1995 and was the Vice President of Hindu Temple, Kansas City. He conducted Vedanta workshops at the Data Retreat Center in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2002. Most importantly, he is a devotee of Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji, an avatara of Lord Dattatreya.
Dr.Satyam Upadrashta is a Director, Global Regulatory Affairs at Chiron Corporation, Emeryville, California. Previously he was with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company for 11 years in various positions, most recently as Director-Global Regulatory Sciences. Prior to that he was Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Satyam received his B.Sc., and M.Sc., degrees in Chemistry from Osmania University and his Ph.D., in Pharmaceutics from the University of Iowa.
He lives in San Ramon, CA, with his wife Bala, and children Pranava and Prabhava.
